The Queensland Cake Decorators’ Association INC (QCDA) was formed when several cake decorators gathered to share ideas and skills in this art.

There are 20 branches throughout Queensland from Gold Coast to Cairns and west to the Darling Downs.

Each of the branches works in their own community through displays, local shows, and providing cakes for charity groups. This helps bring this amazing art to the public. Cake decorating is a fun fulfilling hobby that can be learnt by anyone. There are so many skills to learn from flower making, piping and novelty work just to name a few. Branch hold monthly meeting, which contain demonstration, workshops this is a GREAT hand-on way to learn. Throughout the year 3 to 4 different branches will be selected to hold a demonstration day, where you will see up to 5-6 demonstrations on all thing cake decorating. These demonstration days are great for learning, meeting new people and catch with your friends from other branches.

There are many show that the QCDA are apart of like the RNA, local shows and The  annual QCDA competition and display. This is where many members make masterpiece for these shows. The QCDA has their own judging panel that have undertaken extensive training.

Our mission is to "Foster the Art of Cake Decorating and Sugarcraft" by sharing ideas and skills
